Special Olympics HEART OF A CHAMPION Gala

O n Saturday, April 26, Sheriff Don Barnes was Pasea Hotel & Spa. Sheriff Barnes was honored for his long standing commitment to Special Olympics and for being a champion of acceptance and inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Six Points For Kids deputies were at the event, interacting with the Special Olympics athletes during the reception and escorting them during their “Parade of Champions”. The Sheriff’s Department is very proud of our partnership with Special Olympics and their transformative sports programs.
